Most Dogs Don't Make It Past Selection.
Before training begins, before a contract is signed, before a placement is ever discussed a dog has to survive the selection. Genetics, structure, nerve, temperament, and environmental neutrality are all tested. Most dogs do not pass. The ones that do are the only dogs Priority 1 places.
Priority One K9 Selection Process
Initial Interview
A private conversation with Wade to understand your household, your security profile, and what you need from a protection canine. No quotes. No pressure. No commitments.
Match Without the Visit
Most clients prefer to visit the facility. Many do not have the time. Either path works. We review your environment, your household, and your requirements in detail, and Wade selects the right dog from current candidates on your behalf. The visit is optional. The match is not.
Facility Visit (Optional)
For clients who want to see the operation, we host private visits at our facility. You meet the team, observe dogs at every stage of development, and confirm the match in person. For clients who prefer to skip this step, Wade delivers the dog directly. Either is acceptable. Neither changes the standard.
White-Glove Placement
The selected dog completes any final environment-specific preparation. Wade personally delivers the canine, leads the in-home transition, and remains accessible to the family for the life of the dog.
Visit by Invitation.
Priority 1 hosts private facility visits for clients who want to see the operation firsthand. You meet Wade and Lori, observe dogs at every stage of development, and watch the standards we hold every placement to.
By appointment only.
The Next Step Is a Conversation.
If you are exploring whether a Priority 1 canine is right for your household, the next step is a direct conversation with Wade.
Begin a Private ConversationDelivery and Integration
Every Priority 1 canine is delivered by Wade personally. The placement does not end at the door. It begins there.
In-Home Coaching
Three to five days of in-home work with your family. Every command, every behavior protocol, and every safety cue is taught inside your environment, with the people who will lead the dog.
Seamless Transition
Your dog is integrated into the household methodically. Minimal stress for the canine. Maximum clarity for the family. The transition is structured so the dog bonds to you, not to us.
Lifetime Support
Wade and Lori remain personally accessible to every Priority 1 family. Refresher work, behavioral guidance, and performance maintenance are available for the life of the dog.
Backed by Wade. For the Life of the Dog.
Every Priority 1 placement is supported by a layered written warranty covering compatibility, performance, and genetic health. Specific terms are reviewed privately with each client before placement. Beyond the warranty, every Priority 1 family has direct access to Wade and Lori for the life of the dog. Refreshers, behavioral guidance, and performance maintenance are available on call.
